I feel alive again!  I even feel like doing some sexy dancing and putting on some sexy lingerie!  How cool is that?

Ok, here’s what happened.  My sister and niece from Austin, Texas gave me a Bulgary perfume.  I am what most would call an old fashioned lady.  So, for perfumes, I use Young Living Essential Oils.

Oh, I have used perfumes like L’air Du Temps by Nina Ricci (during my teenage years),  Eternity from Calvin Klein (my 30′s) and  Happy (50′s)  from Clinique before, but not on a regular basis.

However, it is nice to use a perfume that is a perfume, even if it has toxic ingredients. LOL  And if you are one of those individuals who can not stand the smell of  perfume, try taking some Livaplex from Standard Process to help clean your liver. It may help.

 Awareness Tip on
How to Change Your Life.

Write in your journal
the different smells or scents
for a week or two
and the feeling or feelings
that YOU attached to it!

Side Note: One of my patients could not stop smoking no matter how hard she tried,
until she became aware that the smell of tobacco  gave her the feeling of love
that she felt when she was  a child whenever her Grandfather was around.

And if you feel like it, fill up the symptom survey form that I have posted online to see which of your organ system is “stressed out”.  Remember, being a baby boomer means that we have to take better care of our health, since we are the generation that has helped changed the rules!

What I have feeling lately…

Like most Baby Boomers,
there are times when
I look back at my life,
and I realize that I am not yet ready
to just sit down and play Bingo!

Awareness Tip on
How to Change Your Life.

Write down on your journal
7 big events that happened in your life,
and how these changed your life.

So, when I heard Barbara Streisand sing

Here’s to Life, I felt that it was a song
that I could have written myself.

It is not a very popular song,
so, I decided to put a link below,
just in case you want to relax and listen to it.

Barbara Streisand sings Here’s To Life

No complaints and no regrets
I still believe in chasing dreams and placing bets
And I have learned that all you give is all you get
So give it all you’ve got

I had my share, I drank my fill
And even though I’m satisfied, I’m hungry still
To see what’s down another road, beyond a hill
And do it all again

So here’s to life
And every joy it brings
Here’s to life
To dreamers and their dreams

Funny how the time just flies
How love can go from warm hellos to sad goodbyes
And leave you with the memories you’ve memorized
To keep your winters warm

But there’s no yes in yesterday
And who knows what tomorrow brings, or takes away
As long as I’m still in the game, I want to play
For laughs, for life, for love

So here’s to life
And every joy it brings
Here’s to life
To dreamers and their dreams
May all your storms be weathered
And all that’s good get better

Here’s to life
Here’s to love
And here’s to you

Which key will open the
Treasure Chest of your Life?

"Which key do I need?"

If this is the first time for you to open the treasure chest,
you will have to choose one, and if it did not work,
you will try the other one, then another one, and then the next one…..

Should I open or lock this treasure chest?

Or…… did you even consider
that you may need to lock the “treasure chest” instead?

Awareness Tip on
How to Change Your Life.

Write in Your Journal
Stuff that you feel have hurt people,
and the reason or reasons why you think you did what you did.

Sometimes, our past which is buried in our treasure chest
haunts us,
and what happens is that we allow it
to dictate who we are today!

That is so unfair!
I told myself.
I may have hurt people who trusted me,
and who I love,
but what had happened before
actually helped me become a better me today.

So, come on and join me in getting back
and reclaiming what is ours,
into this game called life.

IParasailing, Panama Beach, Florida

"Relax"

Being a Baby Boomer myself, it seems that restrictions are something that has to be always re-defined. So, when a miscommunication had me deciding within minutes to go on a road trip to the ocean, I dropped everything, and pulled a suitcase from the top shelf, and threw in what the basics. If I forgot anything else, I know that there will always be a Walmart close by.

Panama City Beach Florida was almost 1000 miles away from where we live in Chicago.  Inspite of the distance, the lure of white sands and warm turquoise colored water made the miles disappear.

That was until we were on the road for hours, hungry but dared not stop because we wanted to be “there”.  Another baby boomer quality!  We had to be there. It does not matter that we drove by signs that enticed us to discover more of the good old USA, we had to keep our blinders on, and drive straight to our destination!

If we think about it, we treat our life that way too. That somehow, when we get to our destination, we may feel unfulfilled and empty inside. And when we look back at our life for all the sacrifices we have done to get “there”, somehow now, in retrospect, ask yourself if it is really worth it.

Awareness Tip on
How to Change Your Life.

Write in your journal
all the events and places that you really would have enjoyed
but did not do because you felt that you did not have the time!

Remember, it is the journey, never the destination!  Click and take time to listen to : I’m in a Hurry by the Alabama with lyrics.

So, remember to add laughter and joy in your daily activities. Because when you are in the twilight of your life these are the memories that will keep you going and smiling.
